Work of Data - Advance Site:  Portfolio

These are some sites from the Artaura/Work of Data portfolio which are no longer kept up by our original clients.  We keep them online just as illustrations of our work.

Cultural Roots - Museum on the Move: 2004 (MoM)

"Museum on the Move" is a travelling museum shared jointly by the museum services of Herefordshire, Staffordshire and Worcestershire County Councils in order to reach people in the rural parts of their counties.  Each county provides the exhibition once every three years, based on a subject which is topical in that year.

The last two opportunities for Herefordshire to stage the exhibition where in 2004 and 2007, and in both years Matt Biggs provided much of the graphics - and using these he and I developed the website to the specification provided by the MoM curator.

At the time the jigsaw games (see the Fashion and Costume pages) were somewhat clunky in operation because we were pushing the limits of the technology, but on modern gear they run perfectly.

Unfair Trade: Slavery - Museum on the Move: 2007 (MoM)

One of my favourite sites which gives the illusion of being virtually all on one page, though there are in fact fifteen pages in the exhibition area of the site.

Way2Go

Once upon a time (2001) an information and support service for young people in Herefordshire.

This site is designed for the days of small monitors, and uses numbers of Matti's rollovers and animated GIFs.

Fairfield High School

Another golden oldie (2004) which is like a postage stamp on a modern screen.  Also notable for the absence of any text - we can but wait.

The "Virtual Tour" shows fifteen locations at the school: the challenge is to find the Head Teacher's Office - but no prizes, sadly.

Trisurf

TRISURF was an innovative project for young people, based on several surf and sea related themes, involving three surfing regions in Europe.  The regions were North Devon in England, Donegal in Ireland and West Brittany in France.

This extensive bilingual site (English-French) incorporates many photos of the Trisurf exchanges between the three European regions; an online version of the 32-page Trisurf Guide booklet; Trisurf videos; and the Trisurf Forum.
